The International Day of Peace is an opportunity for us to embrace our compassion for one another and to celebrate a day of non-violence across the world. The theme this year is Cultivating a Culture of Peace. Additionally, this year marks the 25th anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly's adoption of the Declaration and Program of Action on a Culture of Peace. The Canton City School District has participated in local efforts on bringing awareness to and showcasing this special day for several years.
