Our Lady Pup Soccer team had a big win Thursday nigh at Springfield defeating the Spartans 9-0 with a strong performance from the entire team. Leading the pups in goals is Leah Cameron with 4 goals, Ellie Cribbs and Allea Graves each with 2 goals, and rounding out the scoring is Brittany Garner with 1 goal. Team contributors in assists were Madison Villa, Brittany Garner, Allea Graves and Savannah Brunner. A strong performance from McKinley's keeper Alaina Thorne with 4 saves to keep the Spartans from scoring at all. The Bulldogs are 1-1 on season as of Friday, August 26th. Continuing with our winning tradition at McKinley High School our Lady Pups Volleyball team came away with a varsity win after 4 sets, defeating Canton South: 25-15 in set one, 25-16 in set three, and 25-20 in set four. The Wildcats snuck in one win in set two in a close match for a 23-25 edge over the Bulldogs pushing the game into 4 sets. Scoring leaders for our lady pups were Robbanequia Blakey with 9 points and 4 aces, She also had 19 kills and Charity Wilder led the team with 20 assists. Defensive leaders included DeLeaun Dabney with 12 digs and Jayla Bronson with 6 blocks. The McKinley Varsity volleyball team is now 2-2 on the season as of this taping on the 26th. Finishing up the week's winning streak for the Bulldogs is our Lady Pups Tennis team that defeated Kidron Central Christian 5 to nothing.
